The Niger State House of Assembly has reiterated its commitment to collaborate with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA’s) to enable them achieve their set goals.
The speaker, Rt .Hon. AbdulMalik Mohammed SarkinDaji, stated this while inaugurating the committee on health, at the Assembly complex Thursday in Minna.
The Speaker, who was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Afiniki Dauda, said, the 10th assembly can only achieve its mandate through collaborating with the executive.
In his remarks, the chairman of the House committee on Health, Hon. Pharm. Umar Nasiru, member representing Paikoro constituency explained that the committee will not compromise the constitutional responsibility of ensuring that government policies and programmes are effectively and efficiently implemented .
Umar Nasiru appealed to the various MDA’s under the jurisdiction of the committee to live up to their expectations and cooperate maximally with the committee to achieve its goals.
“It is important to note that the committee is not out to witch- hunt but rather complement their efforts”.
