Niger Assembly inaugurates standing committees

Niger State House of Assembly has officially inaugurated three different house standing committee at the Assembly Complex in Minna.
In his inaugural speech,
Speaker, Barr Abdulmalik Muhammad Sarkin Daji, who spoke through his Deputy, Afiniki Eunice Dauda called for cooporation and synergy among the committee members and assured all MDAs of maximum legislative support.
Speaking separately at the inauguration, Chairman House Committee on Information, Hon. Mohammed Ahmed, that on Works, Hon. Abubakar Gomna and Hon Idris Musa Vasta, Committee Chairman House Service all explained the aim of oversighting is not to witchhunt anybody but to checkmate their activities and ensure they are in line with the best practices and for the development the state.
Also speaking, Commissioner for Communication and Digital Economy, Suleiman Isah who spoke on behalf of other commissioners said that digital transformation of the economy was very paramount, as it is altering conventional notions on how the state will be structured.
He also appreciated the leadership and members of the House for the confidence bestowed upon them to pilot the affairs and pledged to initiate better policies to drive the state forward.
In his vote of thanks, the member representing Bida ll, Hon. Haruna Mohammed commended the effort of his colleagues and pray for Allah ‘s guidance as the work together to achieve the new Niger.
The committees inaugurated included: Committee on Information Strategy, Communication and Digital Economy, Committee on House Services and that on on Works and Infrastructure.
