Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has felicitated with Muslims across state as they join their counterparts around the world to commemorate Eid-el-Maulud (the birth of Prophet Muhammad).
In a message signed and made available to newsmen by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ummikhaltume Abdullahi Kuta, the Deputy Governor, urged all adherents of Islam in the state to use the occasion of Maulud to offer special prayers for security and peaceful coexistence across the state.
Comrade Yakubu Garba believef that “this is essential to ensure Niger State remains economically, politically and socially stable with continuous steady path to the fulfilment of its peoples’ collective vision of a strong, united and prosperous state.”
The Deputy Governor called on all Muslims to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud holiday to deeply reflect on the need for greater application of the Prophet’s teachings.
The teachings, according to him, border on piety, charity, tolerance, justice and peaceful co-existence with each other in respective of religious inclinations in the collective effort to overcome current security and economic challenges.
He assured all Nigerlites that their administration will continue to be guided by the ideals of fairness, equity and justice for all and reaffirmed his commitment to work diligently and tirelessly to support his principal for the successful implementation of the administrative agenda for economic transformation of a new Niger.
