The National Orientation Agency (NOA), has commenced sensitisation of mothers/caregivers on the need to present their wards for the second dose of the measles immunization.
The sensitisation is to ensure that infants from 9-23 months of age are given the second dose of the measles vaccine which is already available in primary health care centres in Benue State.
According to the Benue State Director of NOA, Mr Richard Abimiku Audu who stated this with newsmen Thursday 20/8/2020 said, the Community Orientation Mobilisation Officers, (COMOS) had sensitised and informed the public on the need for care givers to avail their wards explaining that the vaccine has no negative effects on children.
The Director promised that the Agency would work tirelessly to continue to create more awareness on government policies on health challenges including the continuous fight against COVID-19 and other related out breaks.
