By Moses Mbaiorga, Gboko
The national Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sen. Iyorchia Ayu has again said nobody has monopoly of power to unseat him except God deems it fit.
Sen. Ayu made the declaration recently at his Gboko residence while addressing a crowd of Jemgbagh geo-political axis that came to welcome him home from a medical trip overseas.
He assured his kinsmen not to worry over the threat to remove him from office by some of the aggrieved party members, noting that as a focused leader, who is poised to return the party and Nigeria as a whole to winning ways, he has refrained from washing dirty linens in public as his core objective is to help build the party for victory not to destroy it.
He called on members of the party at all levels to desist from politics of division but work for all PDP candidates, irrespective of their credentials and personal interest for the overwhelming victory of the party come 2023.
Sen. Ayu, while insisting the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is Nigeria’s next president revealed that all the who-is-who in the northern and southern parts of the country are assiduously working for PDP to take over in 2023 and fix the bad leadership the All Progressives Congress (APC) will leave behind.
Sen. Ayu, who revealed benefits for Tiv people from Atiku’s presidency said, Benue State as a whole will smile home with unprecedented infrastructural development and job opportunities as the PDP presidential candidate is his bossom friend and a well cultured Fulani man, ready to replicate achievements of former presidents Shehu Shagari and Umaru Musa Yar Adua.
He advised party members not to be carried away by the antics of Obidient Movement, insisting Peter Obi is only out to acquire money to revive his bankrupt businesses and has no capacity to win presidential election.
He appreciated his kinsmen for the wonderful reception, saying it made him break the jinx of a prophet not being accorded with honour in his domain.
In their separate remarks, Yandev Amaabai, Terngu Tsegba, Gbanson Adekwagh, Comr. Isaac Mtom and Barr Sam Tsumba amongst others said Gboko and Tiv at large have come out in large numbers to welcome him home and to know how his is doing.
They promised him unalloyed support and sustained prayers, noting it would be an insult for Gboko, the local government of the national chairman to fumble in the general elections.
