Team Nasarawa has won two medals at the ongoing National Sports Festival, holding in Asaba, Delta State.

The Voice reports that Agada Elijah, won the first bronze medal in the Taekwondo Poomsea individual event held on Friday.

The team picked up the second medal at the sports festival when the trio of Agada Elijah, Isah Ahmadu and Agada Ofu won bronze medal in the Taekwondo Poomsea (Demonstration) Team event.

Speaking in an interview with this correspondent, Elijah expressed happiness over the feat recorded so far and expressed optimism that the team will win more medals for the state.

Meanwhile, Team Nasarawa has reached semi-final in the ongoing Para-Table tennis single competition.

The team’s only player and defending champion in the last edition, Husseini Muhammad defeated other teams to qualify for the semi-finals which will be  played on Saturday.

The Voice reports that Team Nasarawa participated in Golf, Boxing, Para-Powerlifting, Taekwondo, Para-Table Tennis, Chess, Scrabble and Judo.
