The Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ), Taraba State Council has elected new officials to pilot its affairs for the next three years.
Comrade Matthew Eliuje Jen of the Ministry of Information and Orientation was elected as Chairman with Comrade Ado Adamu of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as Vice chairman.
The council also elected Comrades Dennis Apollo as secretary, Hilda Joseph, Treasurer, Jethro GA of World View Magazine as Assistant secretary from the world, Andekin Roland from the state owned television, Taraba Television, Jalingo as Auditor of the union.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Comrade Eliuje Jen thanked God and his colleagues for finding him worthy to pilot the affairs of the union.
The chairman, who promised to carry all members along, described his victory as a victory for all, stressing that no one will be left out as he was committed to run an open door administration.

He lauded Governor Kefas Agbu for taking Taraba to the next level in no distant time and also thanked the NUJ national working committee and zonal committee for the peaceful conduct of the election even as he promised to move the union to enviable height.
The Zonal Vice President of the union, Comrade Zari Baba appreciated the members for a peaceful, free and fair election.
Baba commended Gov. Agbu for his laudable achievements within 100 days in office and prayed God to support his policies and programmes for the benefit of the people of the state.
He urged members of NUJ to unite and work as one family to achieve desired dream for union.
