Benue State Head of Service, Agbogbo Ode, has hailed his principal, Governor Hyacinth Alia, for running a fruitful administration without borrowing money.
He stated this recently in a chat with newsmen in his office in Makurdi.
He described the financial discipline as rare, especially for those holding public office, saying it has pushed up the status of the state.
He said, “It is true that the administration met a zero state treasury but with the governor’s insightful leadership, the state is not indebted to anyone since the inception of the administration”.
Ode said, the Alia led government has consistently been on the right track to resuscitate the Benue work force which it had described as been in an intensive care unit shortly before the commencement of the administration.
He said, Governor Alia has stayed true to his promises to transform the lot of the common man and has started well.
“He has instituted prompt salary payment, 16 township roads are under construction, renovation of Benue Assembly Complex, revamping of Benue State Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) and a whole of people oriented projects”.
He frowned at derogatory remarks being made at his principal by some persons in the state and called on the people of the state to look forward to more dividends of democracy from the Alia led administration in the new year
