Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has commiserated with the family of former Minister of state for Foreign Affairs, Prof. Nicolas Ada over the death of his wife, Dr Joan Olanike Ada.
The governor, during a condolence visit to the deceased family in Makurdi, described the demise of Dr Ada as a rude shock and most painful.
He noted that life and death belongs to God and therefore, urged the family to take solace in God who gives and takes.
Prof. Ada, who is a senior lecturer with the Benue State University, in a remark, expressed appreciation to the governor for the prompt visit to commiserate with his family over the sudden demise of his wife.
He described Governor Ortom as a selfless leader and stated that his visit has brought relief to his grieving family.
Dr Ada and her driver died in a ghastly motor accident along Makurdi-Gboko road on Saturday while returning from a church function in Gboko.
Until her death, she was a lecturer with the Department of Education, Benue State University, Makurdi.
In the company of the governor were his wife, Dr Eunice Ortom, Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Titus Uba and other government appointees.
