The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial consensus aspirant from the Tiv extraction and Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Titus Uba has described the victories of Governor Samuel Ortom and Senator Gabriel Suswam to fly the party’s flag for the Benue North-West (Zone B) and North East (Zone A) Senatorial Districts respectively, at the forthcoming general elections as well deserved.
A statement made available to newsmen Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the speaker, Wuese Orshi said: “…Titus Uba, congratulates Governor Samuel Ortom and Senator Gabriel Suswam over their respective victories at the Benue North-West and Benue North-East Senatorial primaries of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP.
“Uba describes the victories of the duo as well deserved and an affirmation of the fact that they have always kept to their social contract with the people of the state.
“He also sends warm felicitations to all winners of House of Representatives and State House of Assembly tickets and urges them not to rest on their oars till victory for the party is achieved in the forthcoming general elections.”
According to the statement, the governorship contender lauded the PDP and the various electoral committees for conducting a transparent and rancour free primaries.
He expressed optimism that the party would record resounding victory at the general elections, going by the caliber of its flag bearers at various levels.
