The Vice Chairman/CEO of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, Dominic Iorfa has said those who are writing petitions to the EFCC and the Benue State Assets Recovery Committee ARC against him, are out to frustrate his efforts and do not have the interest of Lobi Stars FC at heart.
Iorfa made the declaration to sports journalists Monday, at the McCarthy Stadium Makurdi. He said, “those who are under the guise of stakeholders and are writing petitions to EFCC and the ARC against me are not only out to frustrate my efforts but do not also have the interest of the club at heart”.
He explained that he would not be deterred because he was committed to repositioning the club with innovative policies and programmes that would help them remain viable, to competing favourably with other elite clubs at the highest level.
The Vice Chairman/CEO who unveiled coach Eugene Agagbe as the new Head Coach of Lobi Stars FC, announced the indefinite suspension of Gabriel Ogwuche as Team Manager of the club for insubordination as well as Shim Iorpenda as Welfare Officer of the club.
He however, announced the appointment of coach Odeh Ogah and former strong man in the defense of the defunct BCC Lions FC of Gboko, Felix Pilakyaa as acting TM and Welfare officer respectively.
He thanked Governor Hyacinth Alia and his Deputy, Sam Ode for the support they had been giving him saying, ” I will remain grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to serve in this administration”.
