A statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations  Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, explained that a complaint about the case was lodged at Police ‘B’ Division, Lafia on July 18, 2022 around 1:20pm.

“Upon the receipt of the complaints, Adesina Soyemi, Commissioner of Police (CP) ordered for the arrest of the suspect.

“Experts were also brought and obtained DNA sample, in order to prove further the perpetrator of the act,” the PPRO added.

Nansel noted that the outcome of the test is still being awaited to unravel the culprit and urged people not to pre-empt the NDA result.

“The Nigeria Police Force is a disciplined organisation and will not condone or cover up any act that is contrary to the law and capable of bringing the Force to disrepute.

“The public is hereby assured of a comprehensive investigation into the case as outcome of the investigation will be made public,” he added.
