The remains of Late Prof. Josiah Shindi who died 18 February, 2021 will be committed to mother earth 26 February, 2021 in his home town in Buruku Local Government of Benue State, as released by the family.
In a letter addressed to the pastor in charge of the deceased’s church, ECWA Church, No 1, English Section, Makurdi, Rev. Moses Jen and signed by the son of the deceased, James Shindi, notifying of the death and burial of the professor, it stated that the burial rites will start with a service of songs on 25 February at the church premises to be followed immediately with internment on 26 February, 2021 at Shindi Apinega family cemetery, Tse Gbargbar Apinega, Tombo Mbalagh, Atirkyar Council Ward, Mbayuan Kindred, in Buruku.
The letter revealed that Prof. Shindi died on Thursday, 18 February, 2021 in Abuja, after a brief illness at the age of 70.
Until his demise, Shindi was a professor of Psychology at Benue State University, Makurdi.
