The Visitor of the Benue State University Makurdi , Governor Samuel Ortom has appointed Professor Tor Iorapuu as the 6th Vice Chancellor with effect from November .
He succeeds Professor Msugh Moses Kembe whose tenure as VC ends on November 5th.
The new VC hails from Aliade, Gwer East Local Government area of Benue State, Nigeria.
He attended Government College and College of Education, all in Katsina-Ala, Benue State; and the University of Jos, Nigeria, where he read Theatre Arts up to the PhD level.
Before his appointment as VC, he was member Governing Council of University of Jos. Professor Iorapuu is also a one time Dean, Faculty of Art, University of Jos.
