Couples have been admonished to pray without ceasing and strive towards promoting domestic harmony, in order to have a happy home.
Delivering a sermon during the solemnization of holy matrimony between Mercy Ekela Elias Inedu and Pastor Henry Shagbaor Loho-de-doo, all of Benue state at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Akwanga, Nasarawa state last Saturday, Pastor Cletus Edeche said life lived apart from God is not worth living, just as building a house is useless if the Lord is not in the process.
Rev Edache who read from Psalm 12:1-2 and Ephesians 5:21-31 advised couples to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, understanding each other to invest heavily in marriage, show openness to each other and be submissive to one another, as well as involve God in all their undertakings.
Speaking at the reception, held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Akwanga, Chairman of the Occasion, Benbela Madaki, advised the newly wed couple to shun the interference of third party in their affairs.
Madaki who called on the couple to always exercise patience, stressed the need for friends and well wishers to support and encourage them to succeed in their marriage life.
The solemnization was witnessed by staff of Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation (BPPC), Makurdi, Benue state (colleagues of the groom’s father, Mr David Loho), former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state, Silas Ali Agara, cream of clergy men, families of the couples and host of other personalities.
