Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Titus Uba has urged Muslim faithful to remain prayerful for the sustenance of peace, unity and progress of Nigeria as they celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammed.
In a statement made available to The Voice by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Wuese Orshi, Uba noted that, the Islamic event is remarkable and reinvigorates the virtues of love, tolerance, sacrifice, charity, faith, obedience and peaceful co-existence, which are the deeds and teaching of the Prophet Muhammed.
“For Nigeria to surmount her security challenges, the citizens must see themselves as Nigerians first and learn to live in harmony with one another, irrespective of political, religious and ethnic diversities,” the statement read.
The 2023 Benue Governorship hopeful extended warm felicitations to Muslims across the state and indeed Nigeria and wished them a peaceful and pleasant celebration.
