Security operatives arrest fake naval officer in Nasarawa

Operatives of the 4 Special Forces Command, Doma, Nasarawa State have arrested a fake naval officer, Agbism Joseph Allu in Doma Local Government Area of the State.

Allu, 33-years-old was arrested in Doma Market on August 25,  2022 and has been handed over to the Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

A statement issued on Saturday by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the State, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that the suspect, a native of Nasarawa Eggon, who resides in Lafia was arrested
while putting on full military camouflage.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that, the suspect procured the military regalia/accoutrements at Lagos State and has been wearing it to deceive unsuspecting members of the public before nemesis caught up with him.

“Further investigation has led to the recovery of some military accoutrements of the Nigeria Navy such as; two sets of combat short knickers, a jack knife, two identification cards of Nigeria Merchant Navy carrying the name of the suspect, belt, two mobile phones etc,” Nansel said.

The PPRO further stated that the Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Adesina Soyemi has ordered the command’s  investigation department to conduct exhaustive investigation into the case, in order to unravel other crimes that might have been committed by the suspect.

He, therefore, said that the suspect will subsequently be charged to court for prosecution upon conclusion of investigation.
