Sen Moro bags Icon of Hope Award

The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, was recently honoured with the Distinguished Icon of Hope award by SS Peter and Paul, Idoma Catholic Community (SSPPICC).

The occasion was the SSPPICC’s Honours Award/Launch of National Secretariat, held at St. Francis Cathedral, Otukpo, Benue State.

Presenting the award to Sen. Moro, the National President of SSPPICC, Dr Emmanuel Agbo Owobi (KSJI), said the award was in recognition of the senator’s contributions to nation-building, the growth of the Church and the sound representation on the floor of the Senate.

He said the parliamentarian deserved every honour and award, while enjoining him to keep up with his good works..

A statement by one of the senator’s media aides, James Amedu, quotes his principal as saying he was overwhelmed by the recognition.

According to the senator, he wholeheartedly accepted the award, adding that he would continue to provide quality leadership and representation that is good for all.

On the proposed national secretariat of SSPPICC, the lawmaker said he would serve as an ambassador for the project to ensure that it’s completed and commissioned in 2023.

The Voice gathered that the award confers automatic patron of the organisation on Sen. Moro.
