The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work at the take – off site of the University of Health Sciences, Otada, in Otukpo Local Government of Benue
Moro, who made the observation when he visited the temporary site of the institution on Monday, commended the contractors for their good work , but, charged them to put in more effort in order to meet up the October deadline to ensure that the planned academic calendar of the school was not distorted.
The Senator, who was accompanied by Ado Local Government Chairman, James Oche and other political and opinion leaders, further promised to sustain collaborative efforts with the Executive and other stakeholders to ensure sustained funding for the project.
On his part, the Chairman of Ado Local Government, James Oche, expressed pleasure with the work and the commitment accorded the project by the senator maintaining that, he was committed to the welfare of his people and the development of his constituency.
In his response, the Site Engineer, Abba Shamkuna, promised they would put more effort to the work, stressing that with adequate funding , they would meet the deadline.
Work at the site in near completion included: the administrative structures, the lecture halls and theatres, the hostels and the university hospital.
Senator Moro was accompanied on the inspection by Chief David Ekwo, Hon Andrew Ugbala, Chief Obande Attah, Abraham Ochoga and the Otada youth leader, Gabriel Iduh
