The new Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Benue State, Comrade Ojotu Ojema, has charged staff of the Ministry to be honest, truthful and open in all their engagements and conduct to ensure success of the ministry’s activities.
The commissioner who gave the charge during his maiden meeting with staff of the ministry in his office, urged them to see their positions as privileges to contribute to the growth of the state and should make the most use of the opportunity.
Comrade Ojema said Governor Samuel Ortom was determined to give every Benue youth the opportunity to succeed in life and called on them to make good use of every opportunity provided by the Ortom Administration, assuring staff of the ministry that they would always get what is due to them.
The Youths and Sports commissioner expressed appreciation to Governor Ortom for appointing him into the state executive council at a time issues of youth were on the front burner of national and international discourse, assuring that the Governor and people of the state that he would contribute his best to the development of the state.
Responding on behalf of Management and staff, Director Finance and Supply of the ministry, Stephen Isah who is also overseeing the office of the Permanent Secretary, disclosed that, by appointing a youth as commissioner, the Governor has demonstrated his commitment to youth development and pledged the readiness of staff to give maximum support to the commissioner to succeed.
