Speaker, Niger State State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, has said that sports is a good investment that needs to be given proper attention.

He said this Tuesday, during the inauguration of the House Standing Committee on Sports and Development at the Assembly Complex in  Minna.

The Speaker appreciated the turn up by  the ministry, urging them to always be in synergy with the committee in other to revive sporting activities in the state and assured the ministry of the assembly’s support .

According to Hon. Daji, sports is an investment which needs great attention and advised the ministry to be partners in progress.

In his remarks, the Chairman,  House Committee on Sports Development,  Ndagi Zarkari said the success of the committee depends on the ministry and called on them to always avail themselves to the committee so as to foster development in the ministry.

Speaking on behalf of the ministry, Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports Development, Abdallahi Sulieman, congratulated the committee members and prayed that Niger State will rise from its past glory.
