The Taraba State Government has paid over N800 million as renew counterpart funds to the Community Social and Development Projects (CSDP) World Bank assisted projects.
The General Manager, CSDP, Ezekiel Danjuma who made the disclosure to newsmen in Jalingo, Taraba State recently, said the state Governor, Darius Ishaku who has coined the counterpart as “rescue mission” paid the funds for yet another four years as additional finance of the CSDP, in line with the state’s 2021 budget analysis.
Danjuma further revealed that other funds came from the International Development fund of the World Bank which has enabled the state government, through the CSDP to initiate and execute development projects across 16 local government areas and reserve development areas. He reassured of more development in all communities, stating that none will be neglected from Governor Ishaku’s gesture of providing dividends of democracy to all Taraba communities.
Danjuma who said the agency has put in place measures to ensure the presence of CSDP across the state under his watch, called on people of the state to always protect government projects, adding that government projects are aimed at changing and mitigating their misfortunes.
