The Director General, Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, has assured the public of a hitch free campaign flag-off set to hold in Jos (Tuesday) tomorrow.
Governor Lalong gave the assurances on Monday in Jos, when he visited venue of the campaign been prepared for the flag-off.
The Tinubu/Shettima campaign DG told journalists in an interview that he had inspected progress of work yesterday, Sunday. He said he was satisfied with the level of work done so far, and urged those in charge to speed and deliver as scheduled.
Commenting on security arrangements, Chairman, Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the flag-off, Idris Wase, the Deputy Speaker, House Representatives said the committee has made adequate security arrangements.
It will be recalled that the Commissioner of Police, Plateau State, CP Bartholomew Onyeka, had given similar assurances last Friday.
According to CP Onyeka, in a recent interview with journalists, at the command headquarters, there are adequate security arrangements made to secure lives and property, during and after the event.
A visit at the Rwang Pam Stadium venue of the campaign flag-off, indicate that work is ongoing; podiums are been fixed, the entire stadium has been repainted, the street leading to stadium has also been rehabilitated.
Already, Plateau State capital, Jos, has witnessed a facelift, as most pot holes within the metropolis have been patched.
Conventional security operatives were seen staged at strategic places in and around the stadium.
Also present at the inspection of the campaign flag-off venue were the Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, Deputy Governor of Plateau, Prof. Sonni Tyoden, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and Yakubu Sanda.
Others are General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Armoured Division, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Ali, Director General, Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Joseph Ari, who is a member of the LOC, and Plateau State Head of Service, Sunday Hyet.
