Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon. Mathew Abo, has assured that the Governor Alia will perform rather than play the blame game.
The commissioner gave the assurance last Thursday when he visited Radio Benue Corporation, Culture and Tourism in continuation of his familiarization tour to parastatals under his ministry where he interfaced with management and Staff of the organizations.
He appealed to the staff of the organizations to help reshape the administration, stating that the regime will not accept propaganda.
Hon. Abo said he is aware of their predicaments and assured them of good days ahead.
He explained that the sacked staff from the previous government was a policy of the present regime to reshape the administration, assuring that those affected wrongly will be returned.
In his remarks, The Director General of Radio Benue, Dr Charles lornumbe complained of lack of good working environment which has dampened their moral, stating that the station needs a good generating set.
He also made a passionate appeal for the 51 casual staff that were sacked to be regularized, stating that the organisation needs 70 more staff as, according to him, they are grossly under Staff to run a 24-hour service including Idekpa and Katsina Ala out station, adding that even the Am which is the envy of the station is not on air.
Also speaking, the Executive Director, Culture and Tourism, Janet Daagba, said the theatre complex is in a sorry state, explaining that the Open Air theatre and In Door were not working.
According to her, Buses are in bad shape, generators are not working, transformer vandalized, no furniture in offices, no working tools like computers and no internet facilities.
