Work on the rehabilitation of Gboko-Ugbema and Makurdi-Yandev high ways have resumed after many months of stoppage.
The Voice observed that heavy duty equipment were seen on the site grading, lateriting, watering and laying asphalt.
At Dangote Cement Company on the Makurdi-Yandev road for instance, contractor has again graded and stone pitched the bad portion, preparatory to laying of bitumen.
A similar situation is ongoing on the Gboko-Ugbema road where work has resumed from Amaladu settlement, making driving on the portion very easy.
Godwin Gwabo who was passing through the road to Adikpo expressed happiness over the resumption of work and urged the contractor to hasten up with the completion before Christmas and New Year celebrations.
In a phone interview, Controller, Federal Ministry of Works in Benue State, Engr Charles Oke, said the contractor has been mobilized to site and would be working through out the dry season until work is completed.
