Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has submitted a list of 15 commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as members of the State Executive Council.
The Speaker of the House, Ibrahim Abdullahi announced this on Thursday after the Leader of the House, Umar Tunga read Governor Sule’s letter during the House proceedings in Lafia.
Abdullahi urged the appointees to submit 25 copies of their curriculum vitae to the House on or before Tuesday December 14, 2021 for screening purposes.
“Those appointed are as follows; Yakubu Kwanta – Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA), Yusuf Aliyu Turaki – Awe LGA, Hajiya Aishatu Rufai Ibrahim – Awe LGA, Salihu Enah – Doma LGA, Prof. Umar Gurku – Karu (LGA) Nuhu Oshafu – Keana LGA, Engr Idris Mohammed Idris – Keffi LGA, and Dr Abdulkareem Kana – Kokona LGA.
“Others are Mohammed Sarki – Lafia LGA Abimiku Hannatu Bala – Lafia LGA,
Hajiya Fatu Sabo – Nasarawa LGA,
Yakubu Mohammed Lawal – Nassarawa Eggon LGA, Daniel Agyeno – Obi LGA, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya – Toto LGA and Amb. Lucky Yargwa – Wamba LGA,” the Speaker said.
He therefore, urged the appointees to appear for screening and possible confirmation on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
In a related development, Governor Sule has requested the House to approve one additional Special Adviser that will assist him to run his government.
The Speaker read the governor’s letter during the House proceedings held on Thursday in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
